Background...
HMW better visualize, incentivize, and reward our users' learning progress on Unity Learn, such that they will be motivated to continue?
TLDR: People learning game design online experience low retention and require additional motives to complete the curriculum. After securing this partnership for a team of budding designers, I guided them through UX research, synthesis, product opportunity ideation, and user testing, and prototyping final designs to pitch to our points of contact. My responsibilities encompassed defining objectives, structuring workflows, managing stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with user needs.

Reflection
As a mentor for the Unity Learn project, I played a key role in guiding the team through the process of designing systems to enhance user engagement. I helped them develop skills in feature prioritization, timeline management, and balancing creativity with feasibility.
One of the most fulfilling parts of this experience was witnessing the team’s growth in confidence and capability. Through iterative prototyping and feedback sessions, they learned to translate user insights into impactful design solutions.
This experience reinforced the value of mentorship in product management—not just in guiding teams toward successful outcomes but also in shaping the next generation of thoughtful and innovative leaders.
